I received a letter in the mail from my realtor and she included a sheet entitled, “5 Reasons to Get Happy”. I was very happy that she had sent this reminder to me, and now I want to share some of it with you.
Happiness is a choice. It is much more than a state of mind, it is a decision that can change all aspects of your life. Including your business!
Being happy, by choice, positively impacts your health, your well-being, your personal life and your business results.
Have you ever walked into a place of business where an argument was taking place? Did you feel like turning around and walking out? Did you walk out? I have. No one wants to be around angry or unhappy people. They bring you down.
Happy people are fun to be around. They uplift you and make you feel good!
Happy people tend to have higher incomes and enjoy their work life. Being happy can help you earn more money.
When you are happy you will automatically have more friends and deeper, richer relationships.
Most business partnerships that last and are more satisfying are due to both parties working to be open minded, harmonious and agreeable – Happier.
Customers and clients, or any human being, will be more attracted to you because you are a happy, light-hearted person. We all like being around happy people. We all want to be happy ourselves.
Here are a few ideas that you can practice daily to make you a happier person at work and at home.
Remember to express gratitude. By being grateful for all the great things in your life, you keep your focus on what you have and what is going well. Try writing down 3 things that you are thankful for everyday to assist you in appreciating the people, events and things in your life. We all have so many things to be thankful for, finding 3 should be fairly easy.
A change in your perspective on a situation can make all the difference in the world. When you can’t change a situation, change the way you see it. Wayne Dyer says, “When you change the way you see things, the things you see – change.”
And lighten up and laugh more. Laughter improves your outlook and reduces stress. Laughter is healing, it can enhance your health or lower our risk of heart disease and save your life.
