Try the 4-7-8 relaxing breath recommended by Dr. Andrew Weil. First exhale through your mouth. Now inhale to the count of 4 through your nose and hold….for the count of 7. Then exhale completely through your mouth slowly to the count of 8. Repeat 3 to 5 times.
To make this even more powerful, think about something that you have deep appreciation for. For example, I have deep appreciation for my breathe, when I was a kid I had severe asthma and not having your breathe is not fun. I also have a deep appreciation for my husband who always supports me, loves me and is open minded. What do you have appreciation for?
